  1. Pretentious White Girl says:

Is that funny or scary? *instinctively curls up into ball to protect vital organs from being harvested*

  2. Kit says:

And I’m totally seeing a big huge man in a black hood putting this sign down, shouldering his axe, and entering a room to the side. And I’d be sitting there slack jawed.

  3. ryszard says:

Wow–that looks like an electric floor, too.

  4. Aaron says:

Does anyone else wonder why there are leads attached to the sign? That has to be the best part.

  5. La Verga de Dios says:

Yep, chinese use electric floors because of having a large population. It’s cheaper than electric chair.

  6. electrikALIEN says:

    “Slippery when wet.”

  7. flippy the dolfin says:

aaaah!!! don’t charge the excuted polish people!!! is wrong is wrong!!!

  8. Bud Tugly says:

Hurrah for capital punishment, we’ve had enough Capitol punishment!

  9. M Smith says:

It could be real. Human Rights organizations report that China has the highest usage of the death penalty worldwide, even used for minor offenses such as smoking maruana. The death penalties are carried out live on TV.

  10. Ashley says:

Its a Chinese sign, I wouldnt be surprised if it were real…

    • confuuzed says:

I could be wrong, since none of those kanji have any connection with death or killing, so I wouldn’t be surprised if you were being more than slightly racist with that comment

      • Ashley says:

Do yourself a favour and look up the word racist in the dictionary. It doesnt mean what you think it does. I was stereotyping based on facts.

        • obligated says:

          lol

          “Chinese” therefore barbaric public executions
Sounds pretty racist to me… oh! & the dictionary agrees! :D

        • Inigo says:

I don’t think that means what you think it means…

        • confuuzed says:

          Here’s one for ya….
“Your American, I wouldnt be surprised if you were retarded.”
Sound racist? I think so. That’s why I would never say it.
(I’ll just think it very loudly)

          • tinascratch says:

But see, if you said “You’re American, I bet you know or have known someone in prison” it wouldn’t be racist since actually the per capita incarceration percentages in our country are incredibly high compared to other nations. Generalizations based on actual data are not the same as generalizations based on racist stereotypes.

      • Kanchou says:

It looks like a very odd piece of mistranslation; it really means “Construction in progress”. As far as I can tell the first bit, 施工 “construction”, wasn’t translated at all, while the second bit 進行, which can mean any of “advance, conduct, under way, in progress, do, carry out, carry on, execute” was translated twice in different ways. So it’s a Fail as well as an Engrish.

  11. Ru-tan says:

    those ferinners are so efficient

  12. Rina says:

Actually it looks to me like those leads aren’t even connected to the sign they’re just laying there and the sign was put over them to try make known what was going one, also to try to convince you to not pick them up and walk off with them.
    So yea, I’d say fail

  13. Fnub says:

Next to the welcome to Texas sign!

  14. jessse says:

haha texas, land of people with guns, shares, and most likely rich, deranged parents who had something to do with oil…

  15. nick says:

is it a child c an i have the head
