  1. Whosit says:

    Second!

  2. Lindsay says:

At first I thought it was just the missing “c” in “lettue”, which was kind of lame.
And then I saw the Hormone, in big bright shiny letters. Lulz.

  3. Anthony says:

I’m trying to figure out what they meant…

In Katakana, it literally says “Hormone”

So… either they reverse-translated it, or I missed a Japanese delicacy when I was in Japan…

  4. As strange as it is, it seems that ホルモン焼き (Horumon-yaki, lit. hormone-fried) means fried beef or pork giblets.

  5. pornprawn says:

in fact, ホルモン is not “hormone” but Osaka dialect for “things which you throw away” (捨てるもの), namely entrails. The homonimy with “hormone” is unfortunate, to say the least…

  6. Insane says:

At least they admit that they use steroids.

    • Kit says:

Ah delicious hormones! Consider it the MSG of the meat world. (And please note, I also get violently ill at MSGs). I’ll have two helpings… and a barf bag please!

  7. qwerty says:

ホルモン is in fact Osaka dialect for 捨てるもの (things which you throw away). It has nothing to do with hormones.

  8. La verga de Dios says:

You woman! Our boy got boobs thanks to your fucking hormone meals! oh, can i have more lettue salad, please?

  9. BBCII says:

What’s the difference between a vitamin and a hormone???

  10. scribtee says:

I also think the hormone looks like a cartoon bat with large ears …

  11. BBCII says:

    You can’t hear a vitamin…

  12. veg-o-matic says:

How do you make a hormone?

  13. Yukito says:

Hormone is another word for offal, or parts of the animal like chitterlings, gizzards, hearts, etc.

Wiki offal (not awful) if you don’t believe me.

  14. Marc says:

    Q. How do you make a hormone?
    A. By tossing her salad.

  15. Erik says:

Mhhhm Mhm, good ol’ tasty hormones.

  16. BANANA says:

    Now with extra estrogen! :D

  17. Herr Muhen says:

im supized no one has said anything about the “korea type lettuce salad”

  18. Kid Choronsom says:

ホルモン(hormone) is not Engrish…that’s what the dish is called…made from intestines. And “A korea type lettue sallad” is such a weak Engrish it doesn’t make it fit for this site…don’t water out the material here.
This pic doesn’t deserve to be on the same page as the following picture of the “Marsupial Rhino”

  19. Jack T Robyn says:

I find it funny that the kana for the Korean salad would be pronounced “Shiny Lettuce”

  20. braeduin says:

I started laughing at the Korea type lettuce salad. “HEY WAITER! This salad looks nothing like Korea, take it back!”

  21. JT says:

Am I the only one in the least bit worried by how PINK that “roast” chicken is? Epic catering FAIL.
