Yeah, so the whole “Subtitle a video in another language with whatever English words you can pull from the vernacular” theme is really getting annoying. At least the last one you could almost hear what was on the screen, and what was there almost made sense. This is more random words thrown together by someone who has WAY too much free time on his hands. You’re trying way too hard, kiddo, and failing quite miserably at it.
I agree. How many buffalax videos are we going to work our way through? The first one was good, it said to all those Engrishers… hey, there’s a guy called buffalax who’s making funny videos – go look him up on youtube if you want more. I wouldn’t mind *new* buffalaxes once in a while though.
True! Engrish is hilarious when it comes naturally, and when I watch a foreign film with subtitles i love seeing those slip ups, or a missed word. But you mess with this so much that it is obviously just words you throw together, that make no sense at all. It isn’t funny, it’s just dumb.
Completely aggree. It’s maybe the first one that was funny, because it’s something new. But if he’s going to reproduce it for any foreign song, then it’s b-o-r-i-n-g.
Besides, for Bollywood videoclips you don’t need any stupid subtitles to make them funny, they already are ridiculous per se.

I really loved the first Buffalax video posted here (Moskau) and I looked up Buffalax on YouTube but I found the rest of his stuff to be MUCH less funny.
I think a lot of what made Moskau so funny and fun to watch was that the original video, while ultra weird, was actually very appealing and interesting. It was very much like a Village People thing… a tacky, guilty pleasure.
On the other hand these Indian videos are visually ugly and the music is like nails on a chalkboard. I’ve watched a bunch of them on YouTube and I found them all to be extremely irritating. Sort of like Weird Al Yankovitch (sp?) only much worse.
I hope Buffalax chooses better videos in the future.

The subtitles weren’t funny. The music was too HORRID and i’ve heard better from the Subcontinent.
Also, at risk of commenting twice in a row, Buffalax is doing the WORST guesswork for making ‘english’ lyrics (there’s English and then there’s english) with this song, as Blarg stated more kindly before. “Moskau” was much cleaner and a closer attempt, but with the language for the song, it’s just a bad idea to try and subtitle with english.

It’s not Engrish but I thought it funny the first few times… about a year ago. The initial word “Golimar!” has been translated as “Shoot the bullet,” in some supposedly accurately-subtitled versions of this video, but I’ve seen claims that it’s a term for some sort of evil being perhaps analogous to a vampire. I think that to someone who speaks only English (and like me hasn’t that good hearing) the fake lyrics are not too far off in sound, and hardly random, merely bordering on nonsensical. Such lines as “he ate my motorboat” and “you’ll be pumping Ovaltine/ Or Salty Shanty’s One-Shot Tea” are rather striking. (Salty Shanty is actually, “Shanti, shanti,” or “Peace, peace,” presumably as in “hush, hush.”) But really, yes, this doesn’t belong here at all.
I’m sorry, but those subtitles sounded nothing like the lyrics 90% of the time. These things are usually funny, but they need to be at least vaguely similar.
