  5. Lark88 says:

    It make perfect sense.
In china (and other places) “hot pot” is a way to eat food. In a Hot Pot restaurant, you sit at a table with a big pot in the middle that’s filled with broth, spices, and herbs. You are then given the raw ingredients, cook them, and eat out of the pot. (it’s delicious btw) This looks like a domestic version made for two people. Hence the name Lovers Hot Pot.

    • Psychedelic says:

That’s right, tell us all what we already know and take all the fun out of our New Year’s Eve… **sigh**

    • Chigou says:

Well you are correct only to a degree. Because it is missing an ’s’ at the end of ‘lover’, the phrase then loses its grammatically sense. It should be ‘lovers hot pot’ because you need at least two to be lovers. Hence, ‘lover hot pot’ is still engrish.

  6. Mark. says:

It does hint at cannibalism. In Evelyn Waugh’s novel _Black Mischief_, the antihero tells a girl he’s romancing (and having sex with) that he’d like to eat her, and by the end of the novel he does just that, literally, through a series of bizarre events — stewed with peppers. This brought that to mind pretty quickly… maybe it’s just me.

The pot has two sections, which means you can cook different taste at the same time (seafood to the left and spicy to the right..blah…blah..)

Have you ever had the Aunt Jemima treatment?

  11. Jean-Philippe Green says:
