There were three people to make the mistake, but I’ll just put this after the last one.

There is no ‘n’ in the word ‘romaji’ which is changing the japanese hiragana and katakana symbols into the english version of the sounds they represent.

Sorry, the fact that everyone was typing ‘romanji’ was bugging the crap out of me.

Yup, the Katakana is correct. What I feel wasn’t explained before is that there is no ‘L’ sound in Japanese, it is substituted for ‘R’. Hence the spelling.

The real question here should be: how do you fit a body in a small blender??

Who ever made this submission is a dumb f*ck! There isn’t anything wrong withit. The katakana is also fine for those of you who seem to think it is mangled. Brazzy seems to be the only other user who seems to know what he/she is talking about. I have studied Japanese for five years including a year of AP, and scored a 4 on the exam, so please do not argue with me! The advertisers just naturalized the product name (converted it to a Japanese name) and then printed it in English letters.

I’d have to say one of my favorites is マクドナルド (makudonarudo), which is McDonald’s. Hamburger is fun, too: ハンバーガー。

And yes, this isn’t engrish, it’s simply romanji. マジックブレットデラックス romanizes to “majikku buretto derakkusu,” and translates to “Magic Bullet Deluxe.” Japanese katakana is spelled by verbal pronunciation.
