pirarucu is the name of a very commom freshwater fish (know also as Arapaima), in south american indigenous language Tupi-Guarani.
it means ‘red fish’ (pira=fish + urucum=red). the pirarucu is one of the largest freshwater fish in the world.
piracuí is dryed, powdered fish (from Tupi-Guarani, pira=fish+K’ui=flour, fish flour). indigenous tribes from south america store this dryed fish flour for consumption when food is scarse, between crops.

I speak Portugese, and I can tell you that there’s no way anyone would have translated those things as “sheep turds” and “dog turds”. The items in question have nothing to do with sheep, dogs, or turds.
I bet what happened here was someone asked their neighbor’s kid what the translation is, and the kid decided to be funny about it. There’s no way this is a mistake.

Dog turds, and sheep turd is a reference to the morphological aspect of the food. It does indeed look like sheep turds (spherical) and dog turd (you know), you can see that the real translation is in parenthesis.
i went to italy once and at one of the restaurants the menu said “tib tits of joy”. it was pretty funny.
But did you get the tib tits? Inquiring minds wanna know…
I think that the translator was simply trying to yank the chains of anglophone tourists.
