Win. BTW, two people, Pedro and Paulina are in a car. Pedro says, “Can I do the wiwichu with you again?” and Paulina says,”oh fine.” Pedro takes out a guitar and sings with Paulina: wiwichu a meri crismas, wiwichu a meri crismas, wiwichu a meri crismas an a japi nu yir!!

  1. Jim says:

  4. Antuan says:

    :D i saw it… it’s in Spain! :D

  5. hackingideas says:

it was on Mexico, the characters are called ”Wiwichus” because the characters are supossed to be a christmas promotion from Pepsi, the misspelling it’s on purpose

  6. Tan says:

^ Is it? We don´t have Mirinda here though o_o

It´s done on purpose, poking fun at the pronounciation.

  7. Sharai says:

    Engrishfunny.com fail D:!

This one was really on purpose, based on a local joke.

  8. Aoife says:

Maybe this is fake, but it reminds me of when I worked in a record store in high school and a polite young man who didn’t speak English came in to buy a 45 (yeah, this was centuries ago). He had the name of the song written on a piece of paper and just walked up to and handed me the paper. It said: “Taid es Hai”. And he got the single he wanted.

  9. Andrew says:

    This was on purpose -_-’

  10. Saint says:

i am so lost.. what song is that?

  11. Kelsey says:

    omg
    i LOLed.

  12. Alan says:

Mexican joke. If you read that in Spanish, it would sound as if you are speaking in English. I can give you some examples that goes the other way (read them in English, ear something different in Spanish):

    Boy as n r = Voy a cenar (I’m gonna have a dinner)
N L C John = En el sillón (On the armchair)
Be a hope and son = Viejo panzón (fat old man)
Who and see to seek ago = Juancito se cagó (Little John shit himself)
S toy tree stone = Estoy tristón (I’m kind a sad)
As say toon as = Aceitunas (olives)
See eye = Sí hay (Yes, we have)
Tell o boy ah in cruise tar = Te lo voy a incrustar (I’m going to insert it in you)
L P toe = El pito (The dick)
Train us on six the shell as = Tráenos un six de chelas (Bring us a six pack of beer)

    Bonus

    Does anybody speak polish?

    Tea how you yeah bunny.

  13. daji says:

    LOL

This was made on purpose as already stated. In Mexico it’s sort of common to make fun of misspronounced English. Like Estar Guars (Star Wars), Pecsi (Pepsi) and so on…LOL, there even are t-shirts with that.

  14. ya' ass says:

not even pepsi, this was from Coca Cola, for the Christmas and the New Year’s eve :p

  15. Temok says:

    Actually, it’s a Pepsi campaign.
Otherwise, why would Coca-Cola have red, white and blue-wearing characters?
    It doesn’t make any sense.

  16. wolfor says:

Is this a record that in 32 comments about 20 basically say that this was on purpose?

  17. opimus says:

Looks like Charo wrote that copy.

  18. moi says:

wiwichu, future child or pet name….oh yeah…

  19. Fred says:

This is a hook to a joke. It goes like this:

(Guy, Chick on the beach at night)

G: Hey, can I play you wiwichu?
    C: Play me the WHAT?
    G: The wiwichu. You’ll like it…
C: But we aren’t married yet! What are you thinking of?
G: Come on, the moon’s so bright, the sea’s so calm, the stars so beautiful…
    C: Ok, but just once.
    G: *grabs guitar*
    Wiwichu americrismas,
    wiwichu americrismas
    Wiwichu americrismas
    anajapi nuier!

  20. Dignified Mexican says:

  22. Un Onymous says:

    Tok Pisin in Mexico?

Yu save long tok Inglis, a?
Husat i save long tok Inglis?

    Maski long planti toktok!
    Gut nait.

  23. The Crapture says:

Phonetic approximation of English words/phrases for Spanish speakers.

Not quite an Engrish situation…I remember one of the Spanish languate TV stations used to have half-length infomercials in the middle of the night for a set of self-teaching materials called ‘Ingles en Espanol” which would provide words and definitions in Spanish and then tne English words with both the proper spelling and the phonetic spelling. For Example “Que Pasa?” (pronunciada en ingles) ‘Juas japenin?’= What’s Happening?

  24. gxy says:

Heh, couldn’t figure out what this was for a second… I thought it might be SWEDISH, ha, even though the most experience I’ve had with Swedish is typing “Caramelldansen lyrics” into google.

  25. Niño Manga says:

That’s how us spaniards make fun of the english language!
And im talking about Spain spanish, not latin-americans.

  26. moot says:

  27. YounisAMAX says:

  28. oscher says:

  29. Sakutan says:

Just in case you where too lazy to read previews coments…. It’s not “Engrish”, It’s a Pepsico Ad for last X-mas. It’s “We wish you a Merry Xmas” writen phoneticly for spanish speaking people. It’s a Joke.

  30. Mrcaliche says:

Yeah, it’s a joke, not Engrish.

  31. Tnc says:

You are all too smart. It was on purpose but I felt it was definitely worth putting up here. We had a good laugh and the diner we were eating when they gave this to us. My stepbrother turned to me and suggested uploading it. GLAD YOU LIKE.

Now to see who believes me that I posted it.

  35. DNA says:

Is this done in porpuse. Mimitating Speek of Lolcads.

  36. ElDavid says:

Yeah, that one’s just spelling it as it sounds in Spanish. It’s a joke.

  37. NotMe says:

There was a very long similar campaign in Norway, for a fizzy drink with oranges. The drink is Solo, and so the funnies were called Olos.
Actually it started off as a series of commercials, but got so popular that people invented their own, there were large collections of nonsence-sentences. One of the most popular was this:
“Bewares, your dog is one worm!”
    which obviously is nonsense.
However, the Norwegian original sentence was
    “Bevares, hunden din er enorm!”
meaning, wow, your dog is huge.
Bevares sounds a bit like like bewares, the dog is just the dog, but enorm (huge) might be split into en + orm (one worm).

    Another one is:
“House of the Rising Sun”, translated into “Huset til den reisende sønnen” (or, House of the travelling son).

    And still:
Are you hero on the did? (Er du helt på jordet?)

There smoke the garden snake. (Der røyk hageslangen)

  38. JK says:

    Fred- good one : )
