Skinned birds? Chicken is their secret? Pshhh…

  2. v000 says:

Well, if by peeling something foul they can make it tasty, they sure keep their recipe to themselves…

  3. Meowth says:

    They must use weird sauce…

  4. JohnB says:

If it is really foul, good luck on keeping THAT a secret.

  5. Giltwist says:

It means fava beans. I’ve also seen it spelled “ful” or “foulle.” It’s just like some people say “chick peas” are called “garbanzo beans”

  6. Lala says:

pronounced “fool” it is a delicious bean dip stuff, eaten similar ro hummous. And it is popular in a major portion of the world, just not north america…just because it isn;t in the states, doesn;t mean that noone else should enjoy it!

    • Anna Rexia says:

Is it the one made with chickpeas and sesame tahini? My ex would make some sort of veggie dip with those two ingredients and some other stuff. I now wish I’d written down the recipe. Tasty stuff!

      • Droll not Troll says:

What you describe sounds like hommous (spellings vary). There must be heaps of different recipes on the interwebs. Keep trying them till you find the one you like.
My fave contains chickpeas, tahini, olive oil, garlic & lemon juice, in descending order of quantity.

    • Taneen says:

The only ‘other major portion’ of the world I know where Foul Mesdames (always makes me think of Ladies of a Questionable Nature) is eaten is Egypt and parts thereof. Beware.. it is dangerous if injested in copious quantities!

  7. Mike says:

The label is amusing if you aren’t used to the term, but not Engrish.

  8. Steve says:

have we stumbled upon Colonel Sanders secret recipe?

  9. Tic-Tac says:

    I pity the foul.

  10. peteywheatstraw says:

*shades mouth with hand and whispers to camers* the secrets in my underpants, but I’ll never tell..

  11. nick says:

I bet they don’t make any service! :)

  12. Queen o' sarcasm says:

that looks like a tomato sauce! why is there fowl in it?

  13. Caoimhe says:

They have these in my local grocery shop. Even though I know they’re fava beans, I can’t help but chuckle every time I see them. Then again, I chuckle a little when I buy ‘doodi’ as well (and even more when I make a nice dal with it and people ask what’s in it… teeheehee).
