I guess shaving ice can be a nice way to get started, too!
“It?” Like in, Cousin It??
You raise up your head
And you ask, is this where it is?
And somebody points to you and says
It’s his
And you say, what’s mine?
And somebody else says, where what is?
And you say, oh my god
Am I here all alone?
Because something is happening here
But you don’t know what it is
Do you, mister jones?
You have a slot to fill,
and fill that slot you will….
Just how old *are* you, anyway?
Older than I once was, but younger than I’ll be. That’s not unusual.
I’d settle for Old enough to know better, but young enough to do it again.
The nine ages of Man:
1. Not old enough to know better
2. Old enough to know better
3. Not old enough to know
4. Old enough to know
5. Not old enough
6. Old enough
7. Not old
8. Old
9. Not
10. No
11. N
12.
My cat’s name is Mr. Jones.
*snerk*
Well, something is happening here, and your cat doesn’t know what it is.
I wonder if they got the title from JohnB’s comment about if you don’t use the sponge you get the hose.
“Or else you (he, she, it) get the hose again” is just one of the standing memes here on EngrishFunny, like the “Soviet Russia” one. We believe strongly in recycling here!
Wow, this is sad. Apparently no one on this entire site has seen the movie “Silence of the Lambs”. The quotes that are used on the cheezburger sites (including this one), are all versions of Wild Bill’s line “It puts the lotion on its skin, or else it gets the hose again”.
Excuse me, Buffalo Bill, not Wild
I’m sure most people on this site have seen that film (and if you haven’t, you MUST!), although I’m sure some don’t remember the line. But here on EngrishFunny, many of us continually make references to other pictures, other posts, etc., in fact so often that the memes take on lives of their own. I know the origin of many of the memes hereabouts, and have tracked down some others, but if you get the gist of the posts here (and actually READ them! If people read all the posts and didn’t just look at the picture, I bet there’d be fewer complaints, because there are a lot of really funny people here!!!), you can often play along even if you don’t know the origin. It’s really kind of like improvisational theater; I may not know exactly where another actor is going, but I’ll do my best to play along and then see what happens, and take it from there. And I get more laughs out of this little virtual theater than many an actual theater group I’ve seen!
I did not see “Silence of the Lambs.” I tend to immerse myself when I watch movies, so I chose carefully.
I’m not sure whether this means that SotL is a film you should see, or one you really shouldn’t. IMO it would be well worth the effort, but OTOH if you then meet a census taker called Steve…
Definitely not an easy film to watch, but quite compelling. I once attended a workshop on the psychopathic mind, and the lecturer, an internationally known expert in the field, recommended the book as the best exposition of the psychopathic mind available. I did read it, and it was more chilling than the movie. Of course, I’ve seen such utterly warped and conscience-less persons up close, so it was probably more frightening for me than most, who can see it as a work of fiction.
Stuff like that keeps me awake, watching movies about it isn’t a good time for me. There’s a lot about this culture I prefer to keep at arm’s length.
From you, that just confirms my already high opinion of both the book and the film.
I have not yet seen that movie. What is it about? Is it interesting?
If you find the psychopathic psyche interesting, you definitely need to see the film. And the acting was superb. It centers around the interaction between a relatively young and inexperienced, but very sharp and determined, FBI profiler and an incarcerated stone cold psychopath who is perhaps the most dangerous man on Earth. The book is also superb.
Interesting. Maybe I’ll watch it if I ever get the chance, but I’m not going to go out of my way to find it.
“APPARENTLY?!” “You don’t know what apparently is!” Walks away from rim of hole to find .44 magnum to blow away self-righteous, presumptuous little twerp away. Plus, nobody messes with Precious.
Apparently, I also typed one too many “aways”. Oh, well, I was in a huff.
Consider that infinitive split; I want to annoy anal-retentive grammarians while I am at it.
Nice to have you back, Buck!
And annoy me you have! Well done!
*grins broadly, then adopts scowl*
And get off my d@mn lawn!!
i saw it. and loved it. and i loved your caption too. it made me LOL, out loud!
You and Monk.
Does anybody have a wipe? My keyboard is sticky.
yes! finally, i was waiting for that… funny thing is i kept thinking of the ‘joe dirt’ tribute to that scene.
Save the planet! Recycle your old jokes!
SIXTH!
it gets icecream before it’s puts the lotion on its skins?
It gets the icecream or the shaved ice instead of the lotion
Sounds like that could lead to fun for more than one!
It does no such thing; it has the diabeetus.
It can has diabeetlejuice?
If it doesn’t understand the title of this lol, it watches the film “The Silence of the Lambs”, or it gets the ridicule again.
Fair enough. But the first one, not the sequel!
Who writes the titles? Most of the time, it’s the headlines that make me laugh, more so than the Engrish.
can’t decide if your name is mister doctor, or murder
Or Mordor.
See “Who The Heck Runs This Site?” above. I suspect it’s him*. I’ve often wondered if he also posts comments. Which avatar would be anybody’s guess.
*or her.
Link fail. That was for MRDR.
I think he/she does write here. I think, the avatar is just that of a troll and not a regular. I also suspect most of the comments are the ones that say, “wow, the title made me laugh more than the pic.”
What if I told you that I am the “Who The Heck Runs This Site?” person?
What if I told you I am actually a six-legged creature from the planet Zmskdkdk who is implanting coded messages in your mind that will cause you to assist us in the takeover of your planet when we launch our attack?
ok.
I figured this planet would be easy pickings.
Long may he pleasure us with strong funny!
But he does not up and down frequently
ZOMG NO UP AND DOWNING!!
and for the love of everything holy, do NOT flash the octopus.
Grrr. I just went to the aquarium three days ago, and noticed the sign that said that! I was gonna mention that!
*DIE*
*uses the green herb and a phoenix down just to be sure*
Is it Ben Huh? I always thought Cheezburgr was Ben Huh and the “Licensed Asian American”.
I think I’ll make a cap out of your left butt cheek….
A beanie made from a heinie; I like it.
It could be worse, he could’ve said “I think I’ll make an ammo pouch out of your scrotum”.
A change purse. A small change purse.
You mean like, a tube for dimes?
I’m sure you can fit two bits in there.
Made from a kangaroo scrotum. A gift shop not far from where I live sells them.
I always thought that’s what the scrotum already was…
it puts the lotion on the skin
